Helping your new puppy get the perfect start in life!

Giants are an extremely loyal, protective and smart/ intuitive breed!

They need a ton of socialization & obedience training from day 1 in your home. Once they have completed their vaccinations a reputable training facility is recommended. 

They need lots of exercise and are never to be on a chain or lunge run (tied up). They are also not to be crated all day while at work.  This is in my contract!

I do not offer breeding rights. We sometimes offer guardian homes or co-own situations for females so if this is something you are interested in  please message me and we will discuss it further.

My giants have their tails docked at 3 days old. If you are wanting a Natural tail the puppy must be paid in full (non refundable if backed out) and contract signed prior to day of docking.

Fenced yard is highly recommended!  

Puppy must be seen by your vet within three days of leaving Calderhead’s Bullies. This is because Parvo has an incubation period of typically three to five days for most dogs and 

can begin to shed the virus as early as three to four days prior to showing clinical signs.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH YOUR PUP FROM BIRTH UNTIL 8 WEEKS WHEN THEY GO HOME?

At three days of age, the litter will visit the vet for a complete check, tail dock (breed standard length) and dew claw removal. 

At 2, 4, 6, 8 weeks of age, each pup will be de-wormed using Pyrantel. It is common for a pup to have roundworm so we treat at regular intervals . 

At 4 weeks of age, pups will begin to move from 100% nursing to gruel (puppy food mush) 

At 6 weeks of age, pups are totally weaned from mom and eating hard puppy food usually with a tad bit of water. 

At 6-7 weeks of age, each pup will receive a Puppy 5-way vaccination,  I do not vaccinate for Lepto. My puppies are not to be given Lepto per my contract. 

At 7 weeks , all puppies final payments are made and they are then microchipped and registered in the new owners names. Papers will be mailed directly to you by AKC. You will receive confirmation of registration usually by email from AKC. This registration fee is included in the price of the puppy. 

Puppies come with a strict contract that requires them to come back to us for rehome should you not be able to keep them at any point in their life. They also have a strict spay/neuter contract
